As a novel elderly care model deeply embedded with digital technologies, smart healthy ageing model provides a variety of high-quality intelligent products and services for the elderly, serving as a critical pathway to achieving "healthy aging" strategy. Using data from the China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey, this study builds staggered difference-in-differences models to assess the impact of smart healthy ageing policies on older adults' health. We find that the policies significantly enhance older adults' health status compared to the previous year and reduce depression risk. The health promotion effects of the policies are achieved through fostering healthy lifestyles, strengthening intergenerational family ties, and optimizing the allocation of public health resources. And also, the effects are heterogeneous for various groups of elderly, with more significant health benefits for the empty-nested and the disabled elderly, and fewer for those with low digital literacy. Conclusive remarks are made for insights and suggests to enhance older adults' health.
